And they’ve already asked when we can come back for another mani-pedi. I forgot to take a picture of the finished product but they both loved it!
Although honestly, it does look a little bit fun. Plus it will let us do a little bit more of the fun stuff while Sidney is on crutches for at least one more week…
Sidney has always been interested in fishing, and her friend Autumn has been in the town’s parks and rec fishing club for a few sessions now. So Sidney decided to join for the latest one.
Friday night pasta dinner with her soccer team.
Followed by Saturday morning game.
And then Saturday afternoon/evening birthday party with Barbie movie viewing with a whole bunch of friends!
In case it wasn’t obvious, I am alternating between current pictures and older ones that I didn’t post when they were current. It isn’t so noticeable now, but the summer pictures will look particularly out of place in January if I am still in this phase.
But anyway! Sidney and I went to the River Roads festival put on by one of my favorite singers from my college years, Dar Williams. It featured The Nields, Kalliope Jones, Shawn Colvin, Heather Maloney (one of Sidney’s favorites!), Amy Ray’s solo project and more! I have never been to a festival where I knew the music of so many of the bands. I may never again.
Unfortunately we did not make it to the end of the festival due to many factors, including a severe thunderstorm delay, an 11 year old who turns into a pumpkin around 9pm and the fact that Sidney was (and is) still in a boot that made it hard to manage a lot of moving around, and made me nervous about a late departure. But the part we were there for was so much fun.
But Sidney was a good sport and pretended she couldn’t see them when they were huddling at the vet’s office, trying to not be seen.
